TO ALL THOSE WE SERVE

The Health Services Foundation is composed of a volunteer Board of Trustees in Northern Maine that serves without compensation.  Current officers and members are community spirited leaders serving the greater Houlton area. 

Paramount to our organization are grants given in support of the Foundation’s Mission of “Excellence in Healthcare” to all the communities we serve.  Grant giving is essential to the quality & progress of our local hospital, non-profit health centers/organizations where financial healthcare assistance will be beneficial.   

A recent Foundation campaign successfully raised $302,000 to purchase state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine Imaging Equipment at no cost to Houlton Regional Hospital.

Future Project:  Expansion/renovation of the Radiology Department at Houlton Regional to address critical issues of privacy and comfort. The Foundation will take the lead role in campaigning for that vital need.

Given the rural nature of our Maine communities, it is imperative that healthcare options available for those we serve be supported by the finest state-of-the-art technology, and other healthcare related projects and programs. 

In partnership with our non-profit healthcare providers, we co-ordinate fundraising programs to assist with their healthcare development objectives.  Partnerships with other organizations in Southern Aroostook, Northern Penobscot & Northern Washington Counties have created even greater awareness of the Foundation’s mission of “Excellence in Healthcare”.   

The “Future is NOW” and we must diligently plan today for that future. We will remain dedicated to endowment fund stability and at the same time, through the generosity of our communities; fundraise for those needs so important to our healthcare providers.  Campaigns selected and interest only fund income distribution decisions are made upon recommendation of the Foundation Board of Trustees.
