The lives of all Americans changed on September 11, 2001.  Heartless and cruel men tried to bring our great Nation to its knees.  Yet they underestimated the breadth and depth of America’s Spirit.  Instead of yielding to fear, our Nation stands united and strong.

Adversity brings out the best in Americans.  We do not shrink from difficult tasks.  In 1972, the greater Houlton community faced the immense task of consolidating two hospitals into one “Houlton Regional Hospital”. Some thought it impossible.  However, the indomitable spirits of many made the dream come true.

Today, the Houlton Regional Health Services Foundation exists to ensure quality healthcare for our community well into the new millennium.  We believe our friends share in this vision for the future.
